Turning Milestones into Memories
I would love to capture these precious moments for you, whether in my studio or on my private 2.5-acre property. During our session, we’ll play, be silly, and share plenty of laughter!
Milestone sessions focus primarily on your child but can include one family portrait. My goal as your milestone photographer is to create stunning portraits while making the experience fun and memorable.
These sessions are perfect for capturing special stages in your child’s life—whether it's when they first start sitting unassisted (typically around 5–7 months), a first birthday celebration, or simply to document this fleeting moment in time. This is a wonderful opportunity to preserve their transformation from newborn to baby, and of course, capture those adorable bare-bottom portraits—you know, the ones you can keep as future leverage 😉
Let's Get Messy!
A cake smash session is such a fun and creative way to celebrate your little one’s first birthday! We’ll start with portraits using up to two different backdrops and outfit changes before diving into the cake smash.
Whether your child loves the cake or wants nothing to do with it—I’ll capture every moment! My goal is to bring out all the emotions and create beautiful images that you’ll cherish as they grow. Sessions can take place in the studio, outdoors, or a mix of both if the weather allows. A family portrait can also be included, but the main focus will be on your little one.
Rub-a-dub-dub… we can end the session with a fun, playful bath in a vintage water basin!
Cake smash sessions are always unpredictable—some kids dive right in, while others are more hesitant—but no matter how they react, it’s always a memorable experience!
These sessions are best booked when your child is between 10 and 11 months old and include access to backdrops, wardrobe, and props. Your custom cake will be designed to complement the outfit or theme we choose.
The session begins with classic portraits on two different backdrops before we let the cake fun begin! You’re welcome to bring your own outfits, or you can choose from the timeless wardrobe options available in the studio. If you’re providing your own outfit, the cake design will be tailored to match.
Step 1: Booking your Session
Once you're ready to book, we'll set a date — I'll secure your session with payment and start preparing everything to make it a seamless and special experience!
Step 2: Preparation
Once you book your session, the creative process begins! You'll receive all the details on what to expect, plan out colour/themes and what you may need to bring.I will create a client portal for you, giving you access to all the documents and links you need to customize your portrait experience.
(I will share cake smash samples as well as what outfits are available for 1 year and Cake Smash sessions).
Step 3: Photo Session
Your portrait session will take place in at my home studio. We will work to create beautiful images on multiple coordinating backdrops and outfits.
*Cake Smash Session - I provide a 3 inch cake to compliment the theme or colour tone.
Step 4: After Your Session
After your session, I thoughtfully curate the best images to feature in your private gallery. You'll receive a link to your exclusive online gallery, where you can browse your beautifully captured moments and select your favorites to receive as digital files. You'll also have the option to purchase additional products to ensure these special memories are preserved for years to come.
Step 5: Photos & Products
Your final collection is carefully hand-edited and prepared for any products you’ve selected. Once payment is received, your digital images will be available for download from your online gallery. Printed products are lovingly crafted and delivered within 2–4 weeks.
